Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Sarah, and I'm thrilled you've found your way here. Pull up a chair, grab your favorite beverage (I might even know how to mix it!), and let's get to know each other.
First things first: I'm a mom of two incredible little boys. My oldest is a curious two-year-old tornado of energy, while my youngest, at seven months, is still in that delightful baby bubble stage. They're the lights of my life and the reason I embarked on this wild journey of motherhood and breastfeeding.
Speaking of which, that's what brought us together, isn't it? Breastfeeding. It's beautiful, it's natural, and let's be real – it can also be really challenging. When I had my first son, I was determined to breastfeed for as long as possible. I made it to the one-year mark before slowly weaning him as he transitioned to cow's milk. It wasn't always smooth sailing, though. Between trying to maintain my milk supply, figuring out how to pump at work, and testing what felt like every lactation product on the market, there were definitely moments when I felt overwhelmed.
But you know what? We made it through. And now, with my second little one, things have been a bit easier. My milk supply seems stronger this time around, and I feel like I've got a better handle on the whole process. Don't get me wrong – it's still a journey, but it's one I'm proud to be on.
That's why I created this website. I wanted to share my experiences, both the triumphs and the challenges, and create a space where other moms could do the same. Because let's face it: breastfeeding can be hard, and sometimes you just need someone who gets it. Someone who's been there, done that, and has the leaky t-shirt to prove it.
But there's more to me than just being a mom and a breastfeeding advocate (though those are pretty big parts of who I am). By day (or night, depending on the shift), I'm a part-time bartender. I love the energy of working behind the bar, meeting new people, and crafting the perfect drink. It's a job that's taught me a lot about multitasking and thinking on my feet – skills that come in handy when you're juggling two kids under three!
When I'm not mixing drinks or changing diapers, you can find me managing my social media page. I've built up a following of about 5,000 awesome individuals who share my interests and engage with the content I create.
It's been an incredible journey, watching this community grow and connecting with people from all walks of life.
In addition to this website and my social media presence, I also run another website. (What can I say? I like to keep busy!) And in those precious moments of free time, I love to write. It's my way of processing the world around me and sharing my thoughts with others.
But I'm not content to rest on my laurels. I'm always looking for ways to grow and challenge myself, which is why I'm currently enrolled in an online university program, working towards my degree in business management. It's not always easy balancing schoolwork with everything else on my plate, but I'm passionate about expanding my knowledge and skills.
So, that's me in a nutshell – mom, bartender, social media maven, writer, student, and breastfeeding advocate. I wear a lot of hats, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I created this space to be more than just a website. I want it to be a community, a resource, and a support system for anyone navigating the sometimes turbulent waters of breastfeeding and motherhood. Whether you're a first-time mom nervously approaching your first latch, or a seasoned pro looking for tips on weaning, I hope you'll find something here that resonates with you.
Together with some amazing friends who are contributing their own stories and advice, we'll explore all aspects of the breastfeeding journey. From product reviews and pumping tips to emotional support and troubleshooting, we're here to share it all – the good, the bad, and the leaky.
Remember, every breastfeeding journey is unique. What works for one mom might not work for another, and that's okay. There's no one "right" way to do this. The most important thing is that you feel supported and empowered in your choices.
So welcome, once again, to my little corner of the internet. I'm so glad you're here. Let's navigate this beautiful, messy, wonderful journey of motherhood and breastfeeding together. Your experiences and insights are just as valuable as mine, so don't be shy – join the conversation! After all, it takes a village, and I'm honored to be part of yours.
